Our History

NWG was founded in 2007 by Mike Noli and Drew White as a Program Management company following their history and experience together in the construction industry since 1991. In their years leading up, they successfully managed large commercial construction projects across multiple industries both as general contractor then subsequently on a program level as owner’s representatives. Since 2007, NWG has continued to grow and offer Equipment and Technology Planning to their healthcare clients in order to be a full-service owner’s resource.

In 2011, Julius Smith joined the NWG team to help them grow their capacity to manage commercial and healthcare projects across the country. And now, years later, with Drew’s retirement in 2025, Julius has taken the role of partner alongside Mike to continue to expand NWG’s footprint in the design and construction industry

Our History

Mike and Drew have been completing projects together since 1991 beginning in the Atlanta Market as general contractors and then moving to the Nashville area where they have been completing healthcare projects on a program level since 1997. Having worked together for the past 18 years the team has formed a unit cache of experience, which they brought to bear in the formation of the NoliWhite Group in 2007. The most important aspect of any company “The People” have been working together for the past 18 years… an unusual achievement in any profession.

Mike Noli

Mike Noli brings 29 years of experience in the design, medical equipment planning, asset inventory management, and construction industry for healthcare projects. Prior to establishing The NoliWhite Group, Mike was a senior leader in the largest healthcare capital development program in the United States. He has led the development of numerous freestanding acute care hospitals, psychiatric facilities, medical office buildings, and outpatient facilities. His largest projects include the development of a $175 million medical center in Denver, a $220 million project in Dallas, the simultaneous development of numerous projects included in a $200 million master plan for John D. Archbold Medical Center, and the implementation of a multi project master plan for Bozeman Health.

Executive Vice President

Julius Smith

Julius Smith has fifteen years of experience in the healthcare design and construction industry. While previously working as a project manager with KBR Building Group, he has managed several renovation and expansion projects for a range of clients in the Southeast. His largest project was a $100M ED/Surgery/Medical Surgery Tower expansion for John D. Archbold Medical Center. As a program manager, he has managed various freestanding, expansion, and renovation projects across varying acuity levels for John D. Archbold Medical Center, Colquitt Regional Medical Center, Cullman Regional Medical Center, HCA, and Acadia Healthcare.

Medical Equipment Planner

Phyllis Johnson

Phyllis has over 26 years of equipment planning experience, preceded by 12 years as a certified OR nurse, specializing in Level I trauma and transplant. Phyllis joined NWG in 2011 bringing extensive experience directing operations and overseeing the equipment planning department. In her equipment planning career, Phyllis has successfully completed over 250 healthcare facility equipment projects throughout the United States.

Tracey Fredette

Tracey brings more than 34 years of healthcare experience to NWG. She has 23 years of medical equipment planning experience and 11 years in the Methodist Hospital system in Cardiovascular and Laboratory services. She has managed hospital projects from individual department renovations to full replacement facilities throughout the United States. Tracey joined NWG in 2011 from Partners Healthcare Group where she was lead project planner in over 100 healthcare projects. She has also managed government projects for both the Army and Air Force.

Molly Fox

Molly is a Registered Radiologic Technologist who has worked in the medical equipment planning industry since 2007. Her areas of expertise are Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiovascular services including Catheterization labs and Oncology centers. In addition to these specialties, Molly has managed projects of varied size and scope ranging from physician clinics and medical office buildings to full replacement facilities. As an equipment planner, Molly has been involved with projects including the UP Health System – Marquette, North Alabama Medical Center and numerous healthcare facilities across the country.

Senior Technology Planner

Brian Hutson

Brian has more than 25 years of experience as a healthcare Technology Planner. He has experience in facility assessments, functional workflow analysis, and system design. His experience includes engineering, project management, and telecommunications expense management. He is also experienced in the design and implementation of cabling infrastructure systems and has coordinated the relocation of data centers. Brian has been involved in more than 300 projects including replacement facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, medical office buildings, regional service centers, along with additions and renovations to existing facilities.
