Pre-Design Phase

  • Perform inventory on all existing medical equipment and offer recommendations on equipment that can be relocated
  • Develop five year capital plan and budgeting tool
  • Asset tagging and financial reconciliation to general ledger
  • Development of functional requirements and provide early conceptual budgets

Design Management

  • Budget development and monitoring
  • Manage medical equipment vendors and healthcare personnel to finalize equipment configurations
  • Prepare and distribute equipment specifications manual
  • Provide CAD drawings of all medical equipment
  • Solicit quotes on medical equipment that require vendor drawings
  • Coordinate all vendor drawings where required for both new and existing medical equipment
  • Coordination with the facility’s IT department as related to medical equipment infrastructure requirements
  • Ongoing updates to budget, equipment specifications, etc.

Construction Phase Management

  • Ongoing budget management, including reporting expenditures versus the budget and ongoing reconciliation
  • Prepare RFPs where applicable and provide recommendations
  • Obtain final equipment quotes
  • Issue purchases orders and invoice reconciliation
  • Respond to contractors RFIs related to medical equipment
  • Manage scheduling and responsibilities of team members for installation of all medical equipment
  • Assess needs for equipment storage, if applicable, and develop project specific storage and phasing plan
  • Coordinate vendor logistical requirements, including rigging, hoisting, unloading zone, path of travel, personnel control, trash removal, and cleaning following installation

Startup Phase

  • Equipment management from delivery through heads-on-the-beds
  • Coordination of hospital personnel to develop punch list for vendors
  • Coordinate final testing and staff training
  • Final budget and reconciliation
